Golf Outings
Melville Golf Centre can offer you and your staff or guests a great golfing experience whether you are low handicappers or complete novices. Our extensive facilities are available for small outings, office parties and fun golf groups. We offer a variety of options which can be tailored to suit all of your participants.
Our 9 hole golf course was built to a high specification with USGA standard greens. The golf course will challenge even the best of your golfers. The course is not too long so that the beginners can also enjoy their golf in the company of their colleagues without being intimidated by needing huge drives to get to the greens. A nine hole round at Melville takes less than 2 hours to play so it is ideal for an outing of mixed abilities. We can supply all the golf equipment that you may require, clubs, balls, shoes, trollies etc.
Another option that we can offer you is exclusive use of the Putting Green and Pitch and Putt Area. This is great fun for both golfers and non golfers. When you book this facility all that you need to do is turn up at Melville, we provide the clubs and balls.
Golf Group Tuition with our PGA Pro, Ryan Scott, is another popular choice. Up to ten people can join in the Group. Group Tuition sessions last for one hour. You can book a series of Group Tuition sessions which will allow Ryan to construct a programme for you which progressively deals with all aspects of the game. Group tuition takes place at the all-weather floodlit Golf Range so that your tuition can be held in comfort on even the worst of Winter weather. Ryan also provides individual lessons with video analysis.
We can organise a half day programme for you that can combine all of the above. For example, an hour session with tuition on the Range followed by a nine hole competition and prize giving. Alternatively, basic tuition on the Range followed by a putting competition or pitch and putt for those not ready to tackle the golf course.
Melville Golf Centre has installed automatic pop-up Powertees with high quality Fibrebuilt strike mats. This excellent addition to our facilities allows individuals to perfect their swing without breaking their grip or stance because the ball is presented automatically on the adjustable tee, ready to be struck again.
We work very closely with several local restaurants that can provide you with a very enjoyable meal, either lunch or dinner. Please ask for details.
